What should i do when my CC goes over the limit?

I have a credit card which goes over limit from about $75 to $400. I tried a lot to got it down but still its $200 over limit. I am completely ruined in it and it spoiled my almost all the credit. The creditors said that the only choice is to pay all the over limit amount and late fees and get your credit card closed. What should i do to overcome this situation? Please help me out!

I thought they are trying to get more amount out of you except over limit. Ask them to put hold on your credit card so that you can not use it anymore but you will still pay for the credit card. If they said no, then tell them that you r transferring your balance to another account having lower rate of interest. They will surely do something in that case as they are going to loose their customer. Hope it will surely work. Best of luck!

Ask your trustworthy family member or a friend to lend you some money so that you can pay at least the amount of your over limit. Otherwise you will be in a critical situation and you have to pay more and more until your balance comes down. And be careful about lot of spendings in future. Better will be doing a debit card purchase instead of credit card. Take Care.

Diff. between student credit card and the secured one?

Can someone tell me about the difference between the two credit cards - student card and the secured one?

Student credit card is for college students who have no credit history and is different from other cards. You can apply online for a good student credit card. Secured credit card is an approved credit card which require checking account of yours in that bank and it will issue you the credit card for the same amount you had deposited. You will receive a monthly bank statement which you have to pay each month in time with some interest rate and annual fee else you have to pay late fees as extra or you can pay in full balance. Try to learn some good financial habits so that you not have to suffer in case of missed payments. Better will not having a credit card but always pay in cash or use debit card.

Student credit cards are the unsecured credit card for those having no or bad credit history. Secured credit card is also good for those having bad credit score and help in avoiding high fees and it mainly helps you to rebuild your credit history. Try to pay your bills in time and before applying for the credit card read the fine print carefully and choose the credit card that suits your spendings.

I suggest you to apply for the student credit card if you are a student and have no credit history, it will helps you lot in building your credit score. Remember to pay all the bills in time.

What is "APR"?

I want to had a credit card for the very first time, so i have no credit history. How can i apply for the credit card and get it? Please also tell me about "what is APR"?

The term APR means Annual Percentage Rate. It is the amount of interest paid by you on your credit card, higher the APR, higher will be the interest you have to pay. Try to get a credit card with lowest APR and best suited to your spendings. I suggest you to go with the credit card by Orchard Bank. For getting more info about credit card read the fine print carefully. All the best.

As i know you have to open a checking account first and then apply for the credit card and try to increase your credit score. Be careful while reading the smallprint. And if you are a student then go with the student credit card. It will be much better for you as you have no credit history.

Most of the credit cards have high interest rates with some additional charges as compared to the standard ones. So, choose a secured credit card with lowest APR and less charges. But be honest about your payments in time and build up your credit history, it will help you later. Better will be having a debit card rather than a credit card, as it sometimes seems to be tough to pay in time. APR is 'Annual Percentage Rate'. It will change month to month as you spend less or more.

American Express Blue Credit Card is a better option for you. It will payback your cash on some specific purchases. It is safe, secure and reliable fro doing online transactions. Some people thought that this credit card is only for very rich people, But its a myth. It will help you lot. Good Luck for your future!
